Tragedy Strikes: Final-Year Student Found Dead After Receiving N15,000 to Act as Girlfriend"

A devastating incident has shaken the community of Kwara State College of Health

Technology, Offa, where a 21-year-old final-year student, Awesu Mojisola Oluwafunmike, was found dead in a refuse site three weeks after celebrating her sign-out ceremony.

Mojisola had gone missing on August 9, 2024, shortly after posting photos and videos of her sign-out ceremony on social media. Investigations revealed that she received a phone call from one Miss Timileyin, who introduced her to an event organized by students from Summit University and Al-Hikmah University in Ilorin.

Mojisola was then connected with Mr. Adebayo Happiness, a student of Summit University, who allegedly invited her to attend a night party, promising her a payment of N15,000 to act as his girlfriend.

The circumstances surrounding Mojisola's death are still unclear, but her tragic end has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of young people, especially students, who may be vulnerable to exploitation and harm.
