A woman allegedly stabbed a 3-year-old boy to death outside an Ohio grocery store in a random attack. The boy, Julian, and his mother, Margot Wood, were both stabbed around 3 p.m. Monday, June 3 in the parking lot of a Giant Eagle in North Olmsted, about 15 miles outside of Cleveland, according to North Olmsted police. Julian suffered stab wounds to the back and cheek, police said. Wood, 38, survived with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The suspect, 32-year-old Bionca Ellis, was taken into custody, police said. . Ellis and the victims didn't know each other, North Olmsted police Detective Sgt. Matt Beck said at a news conference Tuesday, calling it a "random act of violence." Actress Sarah Martins has slammed ‘’hypocritical'' Nigerians blaming two friends, Asfia and Celine, who went missing after leaving Port Harcourt Rivers State to Aba, Abia state, to see a man they met online.    Both ladies have been missing for days while the man they went to visit, Andrew Ochekwo, was allegedly killed when he attempted to evade arrest. Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, who has been following the case claims Andrew is part of an organ harvesting syndicate.   Many Nigerians have bashed the two ladies for travelling to visit a man they met online. In a post shared online, Sarah described those bashing the missing ladies as Hypocrites. Fake military officer detained for impersonation in Ogun

A man has been arrested and detained by the Ogun Police Command for parading himself as a military officer in Ogere, Ikenne Local Government Area of the state.   Muhammed Auwalu, 43, was arrested last Wednesday, May 29, by operatives of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team of the Ogere Police Division during a visibility patrol in the area.    Auwalu was parading himself with a military camouflage and an identity card falsely indicating that he is a serving naval officer deployed to Port Harcourt.    However, during an interrogation conducted by another team of military personnel in the area, he confessed that he was not a trained officer of the Nigerian Navy.   Auwalu said he bought his military uniform for N10,000 and also his identity card for N5,000. He alleged that one Umaru, who lives in the Ojodu-Berger Area of Lagos, sold it to him.    The spokesperson for the Ogun Police Command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the development to Punch and said a discreet investigation was ongoing

Minimum Wage: Give costs to govt today, Tinubu orders Finance Minister

ABUJA — PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu yesterday gave marching orders to the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Wale Edun, to prepare the cost implications of a new minimum wage and present an affordable, sustainable and realistic figure today. According to him, the government’s new offer must be ready today as the basis of negotiation with organised labour.    He also directed those involved in the negotiation to expedite action, so that everything on the new minimum wage could be concluded as soon as possible. Recall that the Federal Government had given offers of N48,000, N57,000 and N60,000, which Labour rejected and embarked on an indefinite nationwide strike on Monday but suspended yesterday. Tinubu gave the order when he summoned the Federal Government’s representatives in the tripartite committee on new minimum wage to a meeting in his office yesterday.
